GridIrondale Classic: Irondale Middle School's New Identity

Change can be fun but also present new challenges.

That's certainly what the Irondale Middle School Boosters are still addressing as they settle into their new school facilities, complete with a name change.

When the former Gresham Middle School was moved to their current new facilities in 2007 it was renamed Irondale Middle School. Kathy Turner, IMS Booster President, said "we're still rebuilding the Booster program and trying to reestablish ourselves in the community."

The IMS Boosters are still working on obtaining bleachers and a scoreboard for their new stadium so home games can be played on campus. Currently, Turner says volunteers are needed to work games.
